Transcript of the stand-up session by the Permanent Secretary for Housing, Planning and Lands (Planning and Lands) Mrs Carrie Lam after attending a Joint Chamber Luncheon Meeting

Following is a transcript of the stand-up session by the Permanent Secretary for Housing, Planning and Lands (Planning and Lands) Mrs Carrie Lam after attending a Joint Chamber Luncheon Meeting this (April 15) afternoon:

Reporter: Mrs Lam, how do you feel about Christine Loh's decision not to appeal?

Mrs Lam: I certainly feel relieved. I have appealed on the day the High Court handed down its judgment refusing the Society's application for judicial review against the Central Reclamation Phase III. I really wish that this would put an end to the litigation relating to the harbour that has lasted for over one year. We now have a common platform to work together on work relating to creating a more vibrant harbourfront. We will shortly set up the harbourfront enhancement committee. So this decision of the Society does come very timely for us to turn a new page to look ahead and work for the benefit of the entire community.
