Roving exhibition to celebrate HKSAR 10th anniversary

A 12-week roving exhibition in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR will be held by the Civil Engineering and Development Department from Saturday (July 7) to share with the public the major infrastructural development in Hong Kong over the past decade.

The prologue of the roving exhibition will be initiated by a grand opening ceremony at Olympian City 2 on Saturday at 1pm. The exhibition will then be held in 11 different locations all around Hong Kong until September 29.

Seven topics will be featured in the exhibition: (1) Overview, vision, mission and values of CEDD; (2) Harbour development; (3) Infrastructure works for tourism; (4) Land formation; (5) New towns development and its infrastructure; (6) Slope safety and (7) Greening.

Through display panels, models and computer games, people should gain a better understanding of the achievement of the department in infrastructure development in the last 10 years.

At the opening ceremony, the prize giving ceremony of a primary school drawing competition organized by the department will also take place.
