Exhibition on slope safety and enhanced use of underground space
The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) is organising an exhibition on slope safety and enhanced use of underground space. Through display panels, video shows, a game booth and an information kiosk, the exhibition will provide information on landslip warnings, precautionary measures and slope maintenance, and will convey the importance of slope safety. There will also be exhibits to exemplify how the sustainable development of Hong Kong is underpinned by enhanced use of underground space.
The exhibition will be held from 11am to 9pm from June 21 to 24 at LG2/F of Shek Yam Shopping Centre, Shek Yam Estate, North Kwai Chung, Tsuen Wan. A geotechnical engineer from the CEDD will meet the public from 11am to 1pm on June 23 to answer questions on slope safety and maintenance.
For enquiries about slope safety, please call the Government Call Centre at 1823 or click on the Hong Kong Slope Safety website (hkss.cedd.gov.hk). Information about enhanced use of underground space is available at the Enhancing Land Supply Strategy website (www.landsupply.hk).
