The Lands Department today (April 26) announced that tenders for three petrol filling stations have been awarded on 21-year land grants at a total premium of $691.3439 million.
Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 521 at Castle Peak Road - Kwai Chung, Kwai Chung, New Territories, was awarded to the highest tenderer, ExxonMobil Hong Kong Limited, at $265.3119 million. Fanling Sheung Shui Town Lot No. 260 at Yat Ming Road, Fanling, New Territories, was awarded to the highest tenderer, Sinopec (Hong Kong) Limited (parent company: Sinopec Marketing Company Limited), at $237.26 million. Tuen Mun Town Lot No. 543 at Castle Peak Road - Tai Lam, Tuen Mun, New Territories, was awarded to the highest tenderer, Shell Hong Kong Limited, at $188.772 million.
The successful tenders were submitted on an individual basis for the purchase of the three sites. These three sites are existing, re-tendered sites for the development of petrol filling stations. Five tenderers took part in the exercise, which produced a total of 12 tenders.
The tenderers other than the successful tenderers that tendered in respect of each lot (individually or as a package) and in alphabetical order, with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets, were:
