The Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan, will leave Hong Kong for Guangzhou tomorrow (March 4). He will call on the Guangdong Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development to exchange views with senior officials on city planning and development.
Mr Chan will also visit the Department of Water Resources of Guangdong Province to learn about the supply of Dongjiang water to Hong Kong and water resources planning in Guangdong Province.
He will also pay a courtesy call on the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province.
Accompanying Mr Chan on the visit will be the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), Mr Wai Chi-sing; the Under Secretary for Development, Mr Eric Ma; and the Deputy Director of Water Supplies, Mr Bobby Ng.
Mr Chan will return to Hong Kong tomorrow evening.
