• Supervising the planning and implementation of Kwu Tung North/Fanling North New Development Area, Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area, Lau Fau Shan/Tsim Bei Tsui/Pak Nai, Yuen Long South,  Ngau Tam Mei and Ma Tso Lung as well as other major land development projects in the vicinity
• Providing and coordinating cross-boundary planning input to land development and infrastructure projects and initiatives in relation to the Northern Metropolis
• Preparing the action agenda and implementation plan for the Northern Metropolis and tracking the implementation

Public Relations Team

• Supporting the formulation and implementation of public relations strategies relating to the development of the Northern Metropolis

Support Services Team

• Providing administration and other policy support for the Northern Metropolis Co-ordination Office
• Providing secretariat support to the Steering Committee on the Northern Metropolis, the Advisory Committee on the Northern Metropolis and its Sub-committee on Planning, Land and Conservation and Sub-committee on Promotion and Public Engagement
