The Secretary for Development, Mr Michael Wong, will leave Hong Kong tomorrow morning (October 30) to attend the 2019 World Cities Day Forum in Tangshan, Hebei Province.
He will join the cultural exchange and welcome dinner on arrival, and will attend the opening ceremony and give a keynote speech at the forum the following day (October 31).
The 2019 World Cities Day Forum is organised by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the People's Government of Hebei Province. This year's theme is "Changing the World: Innovations and Better Life for Future Generations".
Mr Wong will return to Hong Kong in the evening of October 31. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Development, Mr Liu Chun-san, will be the Acting Secretary for Development.
