The Commissioner for Heritage's Office (CHO) of the Development Bureau held the launch ceremony cum photo exhibition of Heritage Fiesta 2014 at Pacific Place in Admiralty today (October 6).
The Secretary for Development, Mr Paul Chan; the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Revitalisation of Historic Buildings, Mr Bernard Chan; the Chairman of the Antiquities Advisory Board, Mr Andrew Lam; and participants from supporting organisations and guests joined the ceremony.
Organised by the CHO and supported by the Antiquities and Monuments Office, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Airport Authority Hong Kong, Heritage Fiesta 2014 features 11 churches and 11 temples which are either declared monuments or graded buildings. All participating historic buildings will be open to the public for free during specific opening hours.
Exhibitions displaying photos of featured historic buildings will be held at Pacific Place in Admiralty and the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui from tomorrow (October 7) to October 12 and October 14 to 29 respectively.
